The second wave of the corona has created a hue and cry across the country. Whether it is cases of covid infection or deaths due to covid, both are more visible in the second wave. Coming to the first wave, in 296 days, a total of 1.02 crore cases were seen. While in just 70 days during the second wave 1.15 crore cases have come to light.

Covid deaths are also taking place faster in the second wave. During the second wave, 88,959 people have lost their lives in just 70 days, while the first wave took about 195 days to reach the same figure. It has been learned that after more than four lakh new cases of covid infection were reported for four consecutive days, 3,66,161 corona cases were reported in a day in India on Monday and with this, the total number of infection cases in the country has increased to 2,26,62,575.

According to the information received, the total death toll has gone up to 2,46,116 after 3,754 more people died due to infection. The number of cases under treatment in the country has increased to 37,45,237, which is 16.53 percent of the total cases of infection. While the rate of recovery of infected people is 82.39 percent. Where it has so far recovered after being infected with 1,86,71,222 people, while the mortality rate is 1.09 percent. The coronavirus cases in India had crossed the 20 lakh mark on August 7 last year. After which the infection cases reached above 30 lakh on 23rd August, 40 lakh on 5th September, and 50 lakh on 16th September.
