With the death of two corona-affected patients in Pathankot and Ludhiana on Tuesday, the death toll from the epidemic in Punjab rose to 46. 41 new positive cases of corona have also been reported in the state in one day, in which six patients have returned to Punjab from abroad. According to the health department, the number of victims from corona in the state has increased to 2342. Meanwhile, there have also been reports of 17 patients recovering, bringing the number of people who beat Corona to 2017. In Jalandhar, the maximum number of 11 corona positive cases were reported on Tuesday, out of which 8 people are close to the victim already, while three patients have returned from abroad.

8 cases were confirmed in Pathankot, in which one patient has returned from abroad. 4 people are already close to the victim and 2 cases have been registered as new cases. 6 cases have been registered in Sangrur, 4 in Ludhiana, 2-2 cases in Amritsar, Moga, Kapurthala, Gurdaspur, 1-1 in Faridkot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala and Nawanshahar.

12 of the 17 patients who have recovered from Corona during this period are from Hoshiarpur and 5 from Gurdaspur. The Punjab government has removed two names from the list of people who died from Corona, as they have come from other states. According to Health Department data, samples of 96329 suspected patients have been taken so far in the state. At present, 279 patients are being treated in various hospitals of the state. The condition of three of them is critical.
