More than 1000 cases found in Haridwar Mahakumbh in just two days

Haridwar: A worrisome report has emerged amid criticisms being made for violation of the Corona Guidelines at the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. There were 594 infected cases in Haridwar on Tuesday. A day earlier, 408 cases were reported on Monday. That is, there have been about 1000 cases in the last two days. The number of active cases in the city is 2812. This is at a time when lakhs of people had gathered for a royal bath in the Ganges on the 13th day of the Kumbh Mela. Some reports claim that between 21 and 31 lakh people took the royal bath. 

It is being said that in such a large number of people, in the city where the infection like coronavirus has spread, there is a big risk. People from different parts of the country came to the Kumbh Mela. The whole country is under the grip of Corona. More than one and a half million corona infection cases are being reported every day. There are about 13 lakh active positive cases in the country now. About 800–900 people are dying every day. There have been 1925 positive cases in 24 hours in the entire Uttarakhand and 13 people have died.

Amidst this danger of Corona, not only Uttarakhand, but people from all over the country are coming to participate in this fair to be held at the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. This fair runs for one month. The royal bath is going on at Kumbh Mela from 12 to 14 April. According to the Health Department, 18,169 people who had come to the fair from 11.30 am to 5 pm on Sunday night have been tested and 102 people have been found corona infected.
