New Delhi: India has reported more than one lakh new cases of corona in the last 24 hours, which is 16 per cent less than yesterday. 865 people have also died in the last 24 hours, which has increased the total number of deaths due to corona to 5 lakh 01 thousand 979. According to the health department data, 1 lakh 07 thousand 474 new cases of the corona were recorded in India on Saturday. 

Kerala is at the top among the states that recorded the highest number of new cases of corona on Saturday. In Kerala, 33 thousand 538 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. Subsequently, 12 thousand 009 new cases were reported in Karnataka, 11 thousand 394 cases in Maharashtra, 7 thousand 524 cases in Tamil Nadu and 5 thousand 602 in Rajasthan.

According to the data, 65.19 per cent of the total new corona cases detected in India have been reported from these 5 states, of which Kerala alone accounts for 31.21 per cent of the new cases. The recovery rate of Corona in the country has now reached 95.91 per cent. A total of 2 lakh 13 thousand 246 patients have also recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries across the country to 4 crores 04 lakh 61 thousand 148. There are now 12 lakh 25 thousand 011 active cases of Corona in India. In the last 24 hours, active cases have decreased by 1 lakh 06 thousand 637.
