In Punjab, 9 more people have died due to Coronavirus on Friday. Due to which the total number of deaths has increased to 239. The number of infected people has increased to 9,442 with 348 new cases coming up. According to the medical bulletin, 2-2 patients have died in Ludhiana and Patiala each and 1-1 in Ferozepur, SBS Nagar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran and Amritsar each.

Corona infection was not confirmed in Punjab CM Amarinder Singh. His cabinet colleagues were found infected 3 days ago. Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Rajinder Singh Bajwa were found corona infected on Tuesday.

Jalandhar, one of the most affected cities of Corona, has seen 78 new cases. While 62 cases were reported in Ludhiana, 56 in Patiala, 34 in Amritsar and Hoshiarpur, 14 in Mohali, 15 in Moga and 11 in Sangrur. The new Corona-infected people include 6 policemen in Ludhiana, 1-1 doctors in Amritsar and Patiala and five prisoners of Moga.

Ludhiana has seen the highest number of 1,695 cases so far. 1,545 cases have been reported in Jalandhar, 1,194 in Amritsar, 832 in Patiala, 698 in Sangrur, 492 in Mohali. The condition of 7 patients is critical and they are on ventilator. The number of corona patients in India has crossed 10 lakhs. The total number of infected people in India has increased to 10,03,832. Of which 3,42,473 are active cases, while 6,35,757 people recovered.
