New Delhi: In the past 24 hours, 50,356 new cases of corona have been reported in India. While 577 people have lost their lives in the same period. The total number of cases in the country has reached 84,62,080 on Saturday. This information is given from the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Of the total corona cases recorded in the country, 5,16,632 cases are currently active, while 78,19,886 have been discharged, and 1,25,562 people have lost the battle against the epidemic.

Data from the Department of Health and Family Welfare has shown that the recovery rate in the country is 92.41%, while the death rate is 1.48%. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Friday tested 11,13,209 samples in a single day, with a total of 11,65,42,304 samples tested so far. Maharashtra remains the most affected state in the country, with a total of 17,10,314 cases reported, of which 44,965 deaths are also present which is followed by Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

On the other hand, since the onset of the epidemic in the national capital, on Friday, the maximum cases of coronavirus have been reported. Between the festive season and increasing pollution levels in the city, the positive rate is 12.19%, while 7,178 new cases have been reported here. Covid's total figures in Delhi stood at 4,28,831. More than 6,000 corona cases are being recorded daily in Delhi for the last 4 days. After which 6,842 cases were filed on Wednesday, after which Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal admitted that the third wave of infection was effective in the national capital. According to Johns Hopkins University, the total number of coronavirus cases globally has reached 49 million, while deaths have exceeded 12,41,360.
