Chennai: The coronavirus infection has once again started spreading rapidly across the country. In Tamil Nadu, 30 students have been found corona positive at the Tuticorin Government Medical College at the same time. At the moment, the condition of all the students is stable and they are undergoing treatment.

In fact, around 200 students of Tuticorin Government Medical College were tested for corona. Out of which the test reports of 30 students were found positive. The students had minor symptoms of coronavirus, but the condition of none is critical. However, keeping in mind the safety of the students, their treatment is going on. At the same time, necessary measures are being taken to protect other students from infection. The students have been instructed to take care of face masks or face shields, hand sanitizers and social distancing etc.

As on June 24, Tamil Nadu recorded 1,359 new infected cases. This is the highest number of cases in the state in a single day since February 19. On Thursday, the number of new COVID-19 cases stood at 1,063. Chennai, Chengalpet, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Coimbatore have reported most of the cases . In Chennai, 616 cases were identified, followed by Chengalpet with 266 new cases and Coimbatore with 64 cases. As on June 24, there were a total of 5,912 active cases in the state.
