Mumbai: The corona havoc is once again intensifying in Maharashtra. As per the information received, 9,114 new cases have been reported and the number of infection cases has increased to 61,31,976. At the same time, 121 people have died and now the death toll has come down to 1,24,296. The report has been released by the Health Department recently. According to the report, there were 9,558 cases of corona infection and 147 deaths. A total of 8,815 patients have been discharged from hospitals last Thursday, taking the number of infection free patients in the state to 58,89,982.

Let us also tell you that 1,14,444 patients are still undergoing covid-19 treatment in the State. Out of these, the highest number of 17,435 patients are in Pune district. After Pune, 16,546 patients are undergoing treatment in Thane and 11,470 in Mumbai. "The rate of people recovering from Covid-19 in Maharashtra is 96.05 per cent while the mortality rate is 2.02 per cent," says an official. So far 4,33,50,257 samples have been tested for Covid-19, out of which 2,25,457 samples were tested on Thursday.

The transition rate in the state is 14.15 per cent. In addition, the official said, "There are currently 6,24,511 quarantines at home in Maharashtra and 4,572 others are at the Covid Centre." 532 patients have been found in Mumbai on Thursday and now the number of patients here has increased to 7,26,037. The official said 357 people were found infected in Pune city, and the number of infection cases has reached 4,97,326.
