New Delhi: As the cases of corona and its new variants of omicrons are on the rise in India, the Central and State Governments have stepped up the vaccination process. In India, corona vaccines are also being administered to children in the age group of 15-17 years. Meanwhile, another good news has surfaced where Dr. N.K. Arora, Chairman (NTAGI), National Technical Advisory Group, has said that children in the age group of 12-14 years will also start getting the vaccine from March. Tell us that more than 30 million children in the age group of 15-17 years have received the first dose of corona tiki in India so far.

About 45% of the children have been vaccinated so far. The great thing is that India has achieved the milestone in just 13 days. The immunization process for children in the age group of 15-17 years in India has started from January 3. 'By the end of January, 74 million children in the age of 15-17 years will get the first dose of corona vaccine,' Dr Arora said.

He said, "Then from the beginning of February, we will start giving these children another dose and by the end of the month everyone will get another dose of the vaccine. We can then start administering vaccines to children between the ages of 12-14 or early March.' The country started giving precautionary doses of corona vaccine to health care and frontline workers from January 10, including polling personnel posted in five polling states and people aged 60 and above.
