Corona cases continue to surge in the country of UK. The city of Greater Manchester has been placed on red alert as coronavirus cases continue to rise in all its areas. For the first time, two governments have reached numbers of infection levels equal to or higher than those they saw in April. Stockport and Trafford have recorded an infection rate of more than 50 cases per 100,000 people, a leading Manchester daily reports. Manchester also got 100 positive tests done for three days in a row, as per the latest Public Health England data.

At the height of the pandemic, the highest number of cases registered on a single day in Manchester was 73. For the first time, Rochdale had an infection rate of more than 100 after it rose in April at 70.6.
