Dehradun: A new record of the death of COVID-19 infected patients was seen on Wednesday in Uttarakhand. For the first time, 20 patients succumbed to their injuries in 24 hours in the state. While 1005 persons have been found infected, the number of new patients has reached more than one thousand after seven days. The number of persons affected by the infection in the state has reached 49 thousand so far.

According to a report released by the health department, 20 COVID-19 infected patients have died in the state in the last 24 hours. Three in AIIMS Rishikesh, three in Himalayan hospital, three in Army Hospital Dehradun, one at Metro Hospital, Haridwar, five at Sushila Tiwari Medical College, and three at Medicity Hospital Rudrapur, two in the base hospital, Srinagar, have died. Now the death toll has been 611.

On Wednesday, 8811 samples have been found negative. While 976 patients have been discharged. The highest 336 in Dehradun City, 133 in Haridwar, 112 in Nainital, 65 in Pauri, 61 in Chamoli, 59 in Tehri, 58 in Udham Singh Nagar, 54 in Champawat, 41 in Uttarkashi, 26 in Bageshwar, 24 in Pithoragarh, 20 in Almora, 16 in Rudraprayag district have been found.

Out of 49 thousand patients found so far, 39035 have been healthy. While the number of active infections is 9111. The number of COVID-19 infections in the frontier city Pithoragarh has been increasing steadily.
