Jhansi: Painful news is coming out of Jhansi Medical College in Uttar Pradesh. A 50-year-old woman undergoing corona infection treatment in ICU died after jumping from the fourth floor. The incident took place on Thursday evening and the deceased has been identified as Rekha Devi from Mauranipur who was admitted to the fourth floor of Special L3 Covid Hospital on April 18.
According to the information received, on Thursday evening, Rekha suddenly got up from her bed, climbed onto the ward window, and jumped from there before anyone understood her intention. Rekha was immediately picked up from the floor and taken to the emergency ward for treatment, but she succumbed to her injuries. According to information provided by Dr. Narendra Sengar, Principal, Medical College, the woman admitted on April 18 was recovering.
Sengar said the woman had a fear of ICU and was constantly telling doctors that she wanted to go. Today, when a team of doctors and paramedics was posted in the ward for regular treatment, she suddenly went to the window and jumped out. "
