Jammu:708 new cases of covid-19 including 2 employees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board tested positive for corona in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. It includes 102 cases from Jammu division and 606 from Kashmir. With this, the number of infected cases has reached 30034 in the state. Out of 6965 active cases, there are 1491 cases from Jammu division and more than 5000 cases from Kashmir. Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 11 more people have died in Kashmir after suffering from covid-19 infection. So far 573 people have been known in the state, including 531 cases from Kashmir itself.

As many as 27 new cases of covid-19 infection have been reported in Katra Vaishno Dham on Wednesday, in which 23 CRPF personnel, two Shrine Board personnel and 2 Police personnel. Cases of continuous infection are coming from the Shrine area. So far, many priests, pundits and employees are present in the infected cases. Rapid antigen tests of 59 people have been done in Raj Bhavan Jammu, in which a gardener has been found infected. Of the 41 newly infected cases in district Jammu, there are 12 travelers and 29 other classes. In this, 11 people from Fist, Janipur, Sainik Colony, Bahufort, Chhanni, Digyana, Preet Nagar etc. have suffered due to exposure to previous cases of covid-19.

Apart from this, 14 newly infected cases were reported from Kanak Mandi, Satwari, Sunjwan, Nanak Nagar, Nagrota, Talab Tillo, Subhash Nagar, Arnia, Rihari, Jawahar Nagar, New Plot. In Srinagar, a record 229 infected cases were reported in a single day. It is a matter of concern that 218 people are from the local class. 35 from Baramulla, 24 from Pulwama, 88 from Budgam, 48 from Anantnag, 19 from Kulgam, 10 from Shopian, 43 from Kuvapada, 48 from Bandipora, 62 from Ganderbal, 4 from Rajori, 4 from Kathua, 2 from Udhampur, Ramban Includes 2, 10 from Samba, 3 from Doda, 1 from Poonch, 34 from Reasi and 1 from Kishtwar.
