Chandigarh: COVID-19 cases are increasing in Punjab. On Thursday, 76 people died due to COVID-19 infection in the state. The death toll from the virus has so far reached 3066 in the state. In addition, 1793 new cases have also been revealed. So far, 105220 persons have been affected by the infection in the state.

According to the Health Department, the number of suspected cases in the state has so far reached 1682723. In these, the number of positive patients has been recorded 105220. 81475 people have recovered. Ludhiana remains number one in cases of deaths due to COVID19. So far, the maximum number of 695 people has died from the infection. So far 351 people have lost their lives in Jalandhar and 302 in Patiala. 

On the other hand, new cases of COVID-19 virus are declining in the country. During the last 24 hours, more than 86 thousand new cases of corona have been reported across the country, while more than one thousand people have died during this period. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, more than 58 lakh cases of COVID-19 have been reported across the country so far, but the relief is that more than 47 lakh people have been cured. According to the latest data, 86,052 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. A total of 1141 patients have also died during this period.
