Covid-19 cases in the country have seen a boom once again. In view of the increasing number of cases in the state, the Karnataka government has reduced the number of people attending events and ceremonies like marriages on Friday. Additional Chief Secretary Javed Akhtar is saying that these measures are being taken in the wake of the increase in new cases of covid and fear of a second wave.
It has been learned that only 500 people will be allowed to be called for marriages or other events held in open places, while the number of people in halls or closed places will be increased to 200. Has been done For birthday celebrations, only 100 people are allowed to be called in the open and 50 people in closed places. A number of people will also be allowed at the time of funeral. However, only 50 people will be allowed at the time of cremation and burial. The number of people for religious and political ceremonies in open spaces has been limited to 500.
To control the spread of covid-19, testing has been extended in some districts. There are 4,000 daily tests in Belagavi, 40,000 tests per day in Bangalore and BBMP, 3,000 tests in Dakshina Kannada daily and 5,000 in Mysuru daily. There have been 24,882 new cases of the covid virus in the country on Saturday. With this, the total number of people infected with the covid virus in the country has increased to 1,13,33,728. In Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, cases are increasing daily.
