Meanwhile, another new revelation has been exposed, in which it has been found that COVID-19 is forming a clot in the pulmonary veins, increasing the number of cases of respiratory failure. Respiratory system failure has been found to be the cause of 65 percent of the 115 deaths in Lucknow so far. The concern of experts is also increasing due to the fact that the effect of other drugs, including Remadecivir, is also seen differently.
65 percent of the infected people died due to the failure of the respiratory system, not only the elderly but also young people. Many were between 25 and 50 years old. Medical experts are also busy in brainstorming as cases of respiratory failure fails. The SGPGI's ICU specialist, Dr. Jia Hasim, says that due to COVID-19, clotting has been found in the lungs of many patients. The process of clotting in the veins of the lungs of COVID-19 is very rapid. Due to clotting, all the pathways of oxygen to the body are blocked. It results the respiratory system completely fails.
Explaining further, Dr. VK Singh, the ICU expert of KGMU said, a person infected with COVID-19 has a lung infection. This causes the heart to work more. After some time, it also starts to weaken because a part of the lung stops functioning due to pulmonary fibrosis. In this case, the oxygen in the blood cells is not able to go easily. In this situation, there is a lot of difficulty in breathing. The smaller the lung shrinks, the more trouble breathing increases accordingly. This problem can create more crises.
