New Delhi: Director General, CSIR, Dr. Shekhar C. Mande said that the next meaning of corona is definitely coming in the third wave but refused to speculate on how and when it would attack. He said vaccination and wearing masks can definitely reduce the intensity of the third wave. He said the Delta Plus variant of the infection was not a matter of concern.

The same Dr. Shekhar C Mande said the delta version is dangerous but there is no need to worry about Delta Plus. Britain, Europe, and the US have seen the next wave. India has to take a safe approach. The upcoming wave is expected, but how and when it is yet to be ascertained. This could be due to the laxity of ordinary citizens in following the new mutant or corona rules of infection.

The same CSIR chief urged people to follow corona rules. He said vaccination is working, it is benefiting a lot. At present, it is considered to be the only weapon for the third wave. He said that all persons should get vaccinated at the earliest so that it is easier to withstand the third wave. He said the genomic monitoring of the corona infection over vaccines will continue for the next three years. He said that 15 days before the WHO was declared an epidemic, we started discussing corona and tried to understand the situation.
