New Delhi: India has reported 18,166 new cases of corona infection in the last 24 hours amid the slowing down of corona. This is the lowest in the last 214 days. Yesterday, 214 people died due to infection in the country. In the last 24 hours, 23,624 people have overcome the infection and recovered. After which the figures of those recovering from corona so far have gone up to 3,32,71,915 in the country. The Union Health Ministry said that the active corona patients in the country have now come down to 2,30,971 lakh, the lowest in 208 days.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 12,83,212 samples were tested for corona infection in India yesterday, till yesterday a total of 58,25,95,693 samples have been tested. Corona vaccination of 94.70 crore people has been done so far in India. There are currently 3,39,53,475 cases of corona virus in the country. At present, active cases are less than 1 per cent (0.68) of the total cases. These figures are the lowest since March 2020. The recovery rate is currently 97.99%, which is the highest since March 2020. The weekly positivity rate in the country is 1.57 per cent, which has remained less than 3% for the last 107 days. The daily rate of infection was recorded at 1.42 per cent, which is less than three per cent for the last 41 days. So far, a total of 58.25 crore tests have been done for corona infection in India.
