New Delhi: The second wave of coronavirus is slowing down, but the risk of a third wave still persists, for which the government already wants to be prepared. These preparations also include providing corona vaccine for children. We are moving forward in the hope of getting vaccines for children. The second trial of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin for children between the ages of 2 and 6 will begin next week.

According to sources, children between the ages of 2 and 6 have been given the first dose of the vaccine and are now preparing for a second dose trial. Earlier, children in the age group of 6 to 12 years have also been tested. The center of these tests is AIIMS, where the vaccine has been tested for people below the age of 18 years. The second dose of the vaccine has already been given to children between the ages of 6 and 12. A few days ago, AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria said that the vaccine may come for children in the month of September. State that these trials of children are being conducted in three phases, including children between the ages of 12 to 18 years, 6 to 12 years, and 2 to 6 years.

The Centre had recently told the Delhi High Court that the clinical trial on children below the age of 18 years is nearing completion soon. Many experts have said that children will be the worst sufferers of the third wave of the corona. That is why the government has stepped up preparations for the children's vaccine.
