Hyderabad: The Telangana government is going to launch a new experiment on corona vaccination from today i.e. Thursday. In Telangana, the trial run for delivering medicines and corona vaccine from drones is set to begin today. It is a part of the Telangana government's ambitious 'Medicine from the Sky' project. Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao sarkar said in a statement that there will be a trial of delivering the remedy by drone from September 9 to October 10 in Vikarabad (Hyderabad).
In its statement, the government said that in the first two days, drones will fly in visual lines, their flight height from the ground will be between 500 and 700 meters and people in the area will be able to see them. From September 11, these drones will fly above the visual line (Beyond Visual Line of Sight, BVLOS) and travel 9 to 10 km. During this period, consignments of vaccines, medical samples, and other health-related items will be delivered through drones.
Tell you that BVLOS drone flights are those whose range ranges from 500-700 meters to those whose flying cannot be seen with naked eyes. The state government in its statement said it will make Telangana the first state in the country to start the trial of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone flights for delivery of the covid-19 vaccine.
