Dehradun: Three cases of Omicron's sub-variant BF.7, responsible for the ever-increasing cases in China, have also been reported in India. At the same time, in view of this, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya reviewed the situation of Corona in the country on Wednesday. Officers were asked to be vigilant and strengthen the monitoring system. The Uttarakhand government has become cautious in view of the increase in the cases of coronavirus in many countries of the world including China. All CMOs have been instructed by Secretary Health Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar to remain alert and do genome sequencing of 10 percent samples of corona-positive patients.

Along with this, people have been asked to follow the Corona rules and protocols. An advisory has been issued by the Central Government a day before regarding Corona infection. In which all the states have been asked to monitor the level of infection and the mutation of the virus. After the letter sent by Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, now all the CMOs have been alerted in this regard by the state government.

Secretary Health Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar said that out of the total corona-positive patients found in the state, 10 percent of samples will be sent for genome sequencing. At present, Doon Medical College and Almora Medical College have the facility for genome sequencing in the state and all the districts have been asked to send their positive samples to both labs. Secretary Health has advised the common people of the state to follow the corona protocol. He said that masks, sanitization, and social distancing should be compulsorily followed.
