First time after 7 months India records less than 2 lakh active cases

New Delhi: The rapidly declining corona cases in India are prompting relief. According to statistics, for the first time in the last 7 months, the number of active cases of coronavirus in the country has come down to 2 lakh. Last reported on June 26, 2020, the number of corona patients was recorded below 2 lakh.

There are currently about 1.97 lakh active cases of corona in the country. The total number of cases has reached 1,05,82,647, out of which 1,02,27,852 patients have been cured and 1,52,593 have lost their lives. Even in Delhi, cases are showing a steady decrease. In Delhi, 161 new corona cases were reported on Monday and 8 more patients died. This is the lowest figure in cases of infections reported in more than 8 months.

Officials said the infection rate in Delhi has come down to 0.32 percent. He said that a total of 6,32,590 cases of infection have been registered in the city so far and 10,754 patients have died from covid-19. Maharashtra, Kerala, and West Bengal are the only countries in the country where the daily number of people who died due to corona is in double digits. This information was received in the health ministry's data released on Monday.
