New Delhi: In the last few days, the cases of covid-19 are witnessing a boom in the country. In many states of the country, including Kerala and Maharashtra, covid-19 cases have seen very fast in a week. In addition to Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh have seen a sudden increase in new cases of covid, which has increased the Government's concerns. It has been learned that 87 percent of covid-19 cases have been reported from 6 states. In the past five days, new cases of covid have been registered in Punjab like Maharashtra.

With the discovery of several new strains of covid-19, the number of covid infectives in central Maharashtra is increasing at an even faster rate, according to information that it is more communicable than the prevalent variants of covid-19. In Maharashtra, covid-19 cases are continuously increasing in many districts including Mumbai. According to the Health Department, there are 45,956 active cases in the state, while 19 lakh 89 thousand 963 people have recovered after treatment while 51,713 people have died due to infection. It is also being said that the new strain of covid found in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and Mumbai has prompted the local authorities to introduce new lockdowns and new restrictions for most people.

Cases increasing continuously for 5 days: According to the information received, the number of corona infected has been falling continuously in the country for the last few months compared to the past days. Covid cases are increasing at a time when experts are predicting mutations in the covid-19 virus. On Saturday, one crore 97 lakh 7 thousand 387 cases of Corona were confirmed in the country, of which 13,993 came out in the last 24 hours (Friday). This is the highest one-day jump in Corona cases since January 29. Looking at the figures, the number of corona infections has been steadily increasing for the past five days - 9,121 (16 February), 11,610 (17 February), 12,881 (18 February), 13,193 (19 February), and 13,993 (20 February).

In Maharashtra, 6,112 new cases were confirmed on Friday, while in Kerala 4,584 new corona cases were found. There has been a spurt in the number of daily cases in Madhya Pradesh since 13 February. On Friday, 297 daily new cases have been registered in the state. Only two states Maharashtra and Kerala have 75.87 percent active cases of coronavirus. Looking at the past data, when corona was at its peak on September 17, 2020, the number of infected in a single day in the country after 97,894, has occurred when there has been a spurt in the number of infected for five consecutive days. The increase in corona cases was recorded from November 17 to November 21 for the last five consecutive days.
