New Delhi: On 27th February, the number of infected people increased to 1,10,79,979 due to more than 16,000 cases of coronavirus on Saturday for the third consecutive day, while 1,07,63,451 people have been cured so far.

According to the updated data of the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Saturday, there have been a total of 16,488 cases of infection in the last 24 hours. 113 more people have died from the infection, after which the death toll has risen to 1,56,938.

According to the information received, the number of under-treated patients in the country is 1,59,590 which is 1.44 percent of the total cases. So far, 1,07,63,451 people have been cured of the infection, leading to a recovery rate of 97.14 percent, while the death rate is 1.42 percent. In the last year, the number of infected people in the country was 20 lakh on 7 August, 30 lakh on 23 August, and more than 40 lakh on 5 September. At the same time, the total cases of infection have crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November, and one crore on 19 December.
