The government has banned 6 types of allowances of state employees. It will be postponed till 31 March 2021. This includes dearness allowance departmental allowance, secretarial allowance, police allowance. This will affect 16 lakh employees and 11.82 lakh pensioners. The state government makes every possible effort to execute the decision of the Center, in that order, this decision has been taken. All decisions related to salary allowances of MLAs and ministers and cuts and postponement of MLA funds, opening of government offices are the hallmark of this.

Apart from issuing this order, Yogi Adityanath government has also stopped six more allowances of government employees. The war against Corona infection, which has become the biggest threat to life, is being fought with equal preparation. Yogi Adityanath government of the state is looking for and saving sources of income, besides opening treasury for rescue, treatment and relief work. The government, which had made a lump sum of crores of rupees from the funds and salaries of the legislators in the state, was now eyeing the DA (dearness allowance) of state workers and teachers.
