More than 1000 infections were also reported on Saturday. The infection rate was 19.84 percent. 7855 samples are being tested, out of which 1559 infections have been confirmed. 371 patients have been discharged, while the home isolation figure has gone up to 4551. Meanwhile, four persons including 3 persons from Mawana Road, R.K. Puram, and Jagriti Vihar lost their lives. A 33-year-old man also succumbed to his injuries at KMC Hospital on Baghpat Road in the evening. On the other hand, Daroga Md. Kamil died at Anand Hospital. A total of 11 people succumbed to their injuries at Meerut Medical College on Thursday. Most of them are patients from outside districts.

He was admitted to the hospital 2 days ago. He had also served as president of the Stone Trade Association. His demise sent shock waves through the business world. Joint Garh Road Trade Committee General Secretary Vipul Singhal said Naresh Bansal lived in front of Vaishali Colony on Garh Road. This is where his establishment is also there. Vipul Singhal has said that a at least 15-day lockdown is required to save the lives of traders. On the other hand, Postal Assistant Ankur (28), posted at the Head Post Office at Meerut Cantonment, died. Ankur lived on rent in Ajanta Colony.

Daroga dies of corona: Janha It is also being said that Daroga Md. Kamil lost his life on Friday night. He was admitted to Anand Hospital on April 22 after he was found infected with covid. There he was on ventilator. Daroga was originally from Moradabad. Fellow policemen rushed to the hospital on the information of his death.
