New Delhi: India has once again seen a big jump in corona cases. More than 3,47,000 corona patients have been found in the country in the last 24 hours. Corona active cases in India have also crossed 2 million. According to the Health Ministry, India has received 3,47,254 new cases of corona infection in the last 24 hours and 2,51,777 recoveries and 703 deaths from corona, which are a troublesome number.

Let me tell you that India has had 29,722 more cases since yesterday, there were 3,17,532 cases of corona infection yesterday. At present, the daily positivity rate is 17.94 per cent and the weekly transition rate is 16.56 per cent. Reaching 703 deaths in a single day is a scary number. This is because it has happened after several months. The last time more deaths occurred was on October 28, 2021. Then 807 people lost their lives to corona. Then, for a few days, the death toll crossed 600, but it's the first time since then that it's crossed 700.

At present, there are 20,18,825 active corona patients in the country. So far, 4,88,396 people have lost their lives due to corona. When it comes to corona's new variant Omicron, its cases have increased to 9,692. This is 4.36 per cent higher than yesterday. Maharashtra reported 46,197 new corona cases in the last 24 hours. There were 37 deaths and 52,025 recoveries. At present, there are 2,58,569 active cases in the state. 5,708 new cases were reported only in Mumbai. Tamil Nadu recorded 28,561 new corona cases and 39 deaths in the last 24 hours. In the capital Delhi, 12,306 corona cases were reported yesterday and 46 patients lost their lives.
