Bengaluru: A prisoner managed to escape from the prison by taking advantage of the corona virus in Tumkuru, Karnataka. After having dinner, he was sent out to throw his plate by himself, after which the prisoner did not return and was escaped Six policemen have been suspended after the incident.

This incident is of the Kora Police Station, twenty three kilometers away from Tumkuru city. Antarasanahalli resident Rangarappa alias Punit, a three-year-old, was arrested on charges of robbery. On Saturday, the prisoner was also announced to be produced in court. Rangappa was kept in a lockup at the police station. On Friday night, Rangappa was given packed food to eat. Keeping in mind the danger of corona infection, he was asked to throw the plate out himself. He did not even get handcuffs nor did any policeman go out with him. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the accused escaped.

The information about the escape of the prisoner stirred up the police station. The search operation has started but no benefit was found. Some people have climbed in the truck of the prisoner to Bengaluru or Chitradurga and have expressed the possibility of going.
