Shimla: The outbreak of Corona, which is being increased suddenly, has been taking the form of an epidemic for the whole world today. By the time this virus is caught, more than 40,000 deaths have taken place. But still, this death game has not stopped. This virus has rocked the whole world today. If there are no beds left in hospitals in many countries, then Dr. himself is becoming a victim of this virus. Despite being included in the category of essential commodities, the coronavirus is also impacting Himachal's pharmaceutical industry. The pharmaceutical industries set up in Baddi-Barotiwala and Nalagarh in Solan district have reduced production by 80 per cent, while Himachal's second pharma hub, Una district, has also lost 90 per cent. Due to the shutdown of transport services, medicines are not being able to reach retailers.

About 750 pharma industries established in the state, only 60 to 70 percent industries are able to work. They are also able to produce only 10 to 15 percent. Wholesalers carry medicines from industries, but the medicines are not able to reach the retailers due to the closure of the transport service. If this situation continues like this, there will be a lot of trouble in the coming time. The biggest problem is that workers including industrialists and staff are stuck in tricity, due to which their movement is restricted, due to which they are not able to produce in industries.

There are a total of six hundred employees in the industry, out of which two hundred are now left. About 1500 types of medicines are produced in this industry, which supplies medicine to Himachal, Punjab and South India.
