The coronavirus outbreak is wreaking havoc on the equity markets. With this, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will temporarily close its prestigious trading floor in Lower Manhattan from Monday, but e-trading will continue. The move has been taken as a precaution by the NYSE after two people reported COVID-19 positive.

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the New York Stock Exchange American Options Market will also be closed in New York. Similarly, NYSE Arca Options in San Francisco will also be closed. According to the NYSE's parent company International Exchange, the move has been taken after the coronavirus was positive in a member of the trading floor community of the New York Stock Exchange and an employee of the exchange.

IndiGo announced a cut in the wages of employees

The company said that both of them last visited the New York Stock Exchange building on Friday. On Saturday, the trading floor and common places were sanitized. With the exchange operator waiting until Monday to close the trading floor, Intercontinental Exchange spokesperson Josh King said participants were asked to be fully prepared for electronic trading for a few days.
