Dehradun: With the increase in cases of Covid in Uttarakhand, the infected are also dying daily. In Dehradun district alone, 49 percent of the total deaths in the state have lost their lives. 94 percent of people have till now lost their lives in 4 plain districts. While 6 percent of the infected have died in 9 hilly districts. So far, only one Covid-19 patient has lost his life in the Chamoli district of the state.

Death toll continues in Bhiwandi, keeps on rising

It has been known that till September 20, the number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection has crossed 500 in the state. Although the death rate in the state is less than the national average. The death rate at the national level is 1.60 percent and the state has 1.20 percent. Dehradun district has the highest number of casualties of 246.

According to the information received, Dehradun's death rate is 2.24 percent. While 96 patients have died in Nainital, the death rate is at 1.85 percent.
