Dehradun: Various efforts have been made to deal with the Corona epidemic. But still, there is no change in these conditions. Four plains cities of the state, Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and Udhamsingh Nagar will be fully locked for two days from today. Due to this, the boundaries of cities will also remain sealed. Since the state government has not made any new amendment in connection with this two-day lockdown, only the previous orders will be considered applicable. This decision has been taken by the government on the basis of the report of the District Magistrates.

A report was sought from all the collectors concerned at the government level to continue the lockdown. It has been reported that the four collectors have expressed the need to continue the lockdown. The reason for this is the continuous increase in cases of COVID-19. This week, a lot of cases of COVID-19 were reported in Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Dehradun. In view of the number of infected, collectors have expressed the need for complete lockdown on Saturday and Sunday too.

Based on their report, the government did not issue any new order in connection with the lockdown. All collectors have been asked to impose lockdown at their level. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing COVID-19 cases in Dehradun city. The order was issued by Collector Dr Ashish Kumar Srivastava on Friday night. Under which medical stores, fruit and vegetable shops, dairy, home delivery, hospitals, petrol pumps, meat-fish shops will be open. Along with this, essential items will be made available during the lockdown.
