New Delhi: The corona epidemic is yet to end across the country, with 26,964 new cases of coronavirus reported in the country today. While 34,167 people have recovered during this, the number of people recovering from corona has gone up to 3,27,83,741 so far. The Union Health Ministry said that active patients with corona infection in the country have now come down to 3,01,989 lakh, which is 0.90 per cent of the total cases and the lowest in 186 days.

The same Health Ministry said that the recovery rate in the country has now gone up to 97.77 per cent, the highest since March. On the other hand, the Indian Council of Medical Research said that 15,92,395 sample tests for corona infection were conducted in India on Tuesday, after which the sample testing figure in the country has now gone up to 55,67,54,282. The daily positive rate is 1.69 per cent, which is less than 3 per cent for the last 23 days. While the weekly positive rate is 2.08 per cent, it has remained below 3 per cent for 89 days.

On the other hand, Mizoram has reported 1,355 new cases of corona infection and 1 death in the last 24 hours.
