New York: Coronavirus continue wreaking havoc in all around the world. Over 20 lakh people have died due to  Covid-19. According to Johns Hopkins University. around 20,02,468 people have died due to the disease. The tragic milestone has come just over a year after the first corona death was reported in China's Wuhan.

As per Johns Hopkins, the US has reported the highest number of Covid-19 cases and deaths. More than 2.3 crore cases and 3.9 lakh deaths have been reported in the country so far. Apart from the deaths, a total of 9.35 crore people have been infected with the virus till now since the outbreak began in December 2019. The United States and Brazil are the worst-affected nations with nearly four lakh and over two lakh virus-related deaths, respectively.

Meanwhile, the world’s biggest inoculation drive against the novel coronavirus will begin Saturday as India starts vaccinating three crores of its frontline workers. In the first phase, two indigenous vaccines, Covaxin and Covishield, will be administered to priority groups.
