Shimla: Corona cases reported in Lahaul and Spiti. Despite the strict restrictions of women and local people, the first case of the corona has come to the fore in the valley. Since then, questions have started to be raised on the promptness of the administration and the BRO. Till now, not a single corona case was reported in the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti. But due to the increase in the movement of workers from outside states in the valley for the last few days, the first case of Corona has come to the fore on Monday.

According to the information received from outside Himachal, the local people are taking their samples along with institutional quarantine, so why workers from outside states are getting a free exemption. Why are they not being institutionalized and their samples are not being taken? Government instructions are that those coming from outside states can be institutionalized quarantined. The higher official of BRO said that strict questioning will be done from the contractor.

A Zip member from Todi Valley and Soncha Dolma, the Darcha Panchayat head, said that the women of the Valley were working with contractors before the BRO case came up. Workers have been sent from the area. Women also did not allow Agriculture Minister Dr. Ramlal Markanda to enter Kaza. From the beginning, women have been protesting against the ban on workers from outside states in the valley.

Zip member said that it should be made mandatory for workers coming from outside states to the Valley to do their institutional quarantine and take their samples. It is said that due to the fear of Corona, the people of the area have given up sowing of cash crops. The commander of the BRO, Colonel Uma Shankar, said that a reply will be made to the contractor regarding the matter. DC KK Saroch said that people need not be afraid and people should follow social distancing.
