A few days ago during Lockdown 1, it was only 49 percent, which has now increased to about 82 percent. About half of the total cases, 44 percent, are from only two western states. These states are Maharashtra and Gujarat. These two states account for about 60 percent of the total deaths due to coronavirus in the country.
