Pregnant woman files petition in Supreme Court, wants to return India from Dubai

Corona infection has spread to more than 180 countries in the world. A woman working in Dubai approached the Supreme Court, saying that she is pregnant and there is no one to take care of her. So she wants to come to India. All domestic and international passenger flights in India are suspended to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The name of the woman is Athira Geeta Sreedharan, who is from Kozhikode, Kerala, she works as an engineer in Dubai and demands to return to India, saying that there is no one except her husband. Her husband works in a construction company, the sector does not close there during the lockdown. So he can't take leave.

Regarding the matter, the woman said in the petition that the petitioner wants to come back to India for delivery in July, but cannot do so due to the coronavirus lockdown imposed worldwide. The petitioner said that since her delivery is due in July, she can travel till the first or second week of May. Due to fear of the virus, it is even more important that she return home so that she can be taken care of.
