Telecom companies like Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone have suffered a setback due to the lockdown in the entire country. With this, there has been a 35% decline in mobile recharge in the last 11 days. On the other hand, a media report has claimed that about half the number of feature phone users have been affected by the lockdown, while there are mostly working class people who are unable to recharge mobile numbers. According to experts, offline recharge has become zero, as users are not able to recharge the phone by going to mobile store or nearest store. Along with this, the new userbase of companies has also declined. On the other hand, if the lockdown goes ahead from April 14, it could cause a lot of damage to companies.

Vodafone Idea's special service
Telecom company Vodafone idea has launched a special service for its customers. Under this service, Vodafone-Idea consumers will be able to recharge their mobile numbers from ATMs. The company has partnered with HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Citibank, DCB Bank, IDBI Bank and Standard Chartered Bank for this service.

Airtel users will be able to recharge from ATM
Telecom company Airtel introduced a special service for its consumers. Under this service, now users will be able to recharge their number from the nearest ATM, grocery and pharmacy store. At the same time, the company's CEO Gopal Vittal has said that during lockdown our users will be able to recharge their mobile numbers from ATMs, grocery and pharmacy stores. We have partnered with HDFC, ICII, Big Bazaar and Apollo for this service. He has further said that we are aware that most of our users are unable to recharge online, so that is why we have started this service.
