In the beginning, infected patients of COVID-19 showed symptoms but after a few months, a large number of people tested positive who showed no symptoms of covid19. Now again infected patients with COVID-19 symptoms are coming forward. The number of such patients in the city has been increasing rapidly for the last two weeks.
In this connection, Dr Jagdish Rawat, Head of Department and Senior Pulmonologist of the Department of Breath Disease of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dehradun, says that no scientific proof has been revealed about this. But the way the number of infected is increasing, it is also directly pointing towards the local transmission. Apart from this, as soon as people are having fever, cough and difficulty in breathing, then they are getting alert and getting themselves tested in a private lab. He said that the transition graph is also increasing due to relaxation in lockdown".
The state coordinator of COVID-19 and deputy MS Khatri of State Doon Medical Hospital said that in the last week, the number of infected people has increased. It is seen that many people have taken home remedies at home in the initial stages. But when the situation worsened, they reached the hospital and got their COVID-19 test done in a private lab. In case of delayed treatment, the infection status is worsening. The death toll of infected patients is also increasing. Further, Dr Khatri told that "symptoms of covid19 is changing. The situation can become more frightening".
