Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's attitude has softened in Bengal following the stern stance of the Modi government at the Center amid the Corona transition continuing in the country. The Bengal government has assured the Center that she will abide by all the orders related to the currently ongoing lockdown. The Mamata government has also assured full cooperation of the two central teams assessing the ground situation in the state. In a letter to Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, West Bengal Chief Secretary Rajiv Sinha said that this is not a fact that the two Inter-Ministerial Central Teams (IMCTs) have not been provided with any cooperation by the state government as they had two meetings with a team And is currently scheduled to be meeting with another team.

The Chief Secretary of the State told the Union Home Secretary that it was to express my highest assurance for the implementation of the Disaster Management Act as well as the orders of the Central Government issued under the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

Bengal, which is often rude about central guidelines, is not ready to change even in the crisis of Corona. In some places in the state, the local administration did not provide the necessary support and necessary facilities to the central teams for prevention of corona due to negligence. Due to this, the central team of senior officers remained locked inside the room for more than 30 hours. When the central government cited the numerical rules of the disaster law, there was little effect.
