The counting of votes for the presidential elections is scheduled to take place today. With the result, the fourteenth President of India will be selected. On July 17 the election for the president post took place.

The current President of India Pranab Mukherjee tenure will end on July 25. The two candidates for the post of presidential elections are Ram Nath Kovind and Meira Kumar.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA announced the former Governor of Bihar Ram Nath Kovind as its candidate while Congress-led opposition nominated Meira Kumar as its candidate.
