One of the country's top discus throw athletes can also be inferred to have failed a dope test. His sample has also been tested by the Athletics Integrity Unit, an independent body set up by World Athletics. It is learnt that this athlete has participated in the Tokyo Olympics. No information has been found so far about the date of testing and the nature of the banned substance found in the athlete's sample.

Indian Athletics Federation (AFI) officials, however, said they have not received any information in this regard so far. We are not revealing the name of the concerned athlete at the moment. That athlete has said that it (allegedly failing a dope test)  is wrong news, I have not failed any dope test.
