Lover commits suicide in hotel room in Chandigarh

Chandigarh A couple committed suicide by hanging from the fan in the hotel room. The hotel informed the police about this. Police arrived at the site, took the bodies of both of them from the ceiling fan and kept them in the morcha of GMSH-16 and informed the family of the matter. The incident was discovered when the waiter arrived in the room on Saturday morning to have breakfast. The deceased have been identified as Vijay Bhim (20), a resident of Maulikagaran and a 17-year-old teenager.

It is being told that both of them committed suicide together in the hotel room. The cause of suicide will be revealed only after the investigation. At present, the police will hand over the dead bodies to the families after the post-mortem on Sunday. According to the hotel management, the two had booked the hotel on Friday morning. The incident took place around 11 am on Saturday. Police received information that the lover couple committed suicide by hanging from a fan in room number-107 of Swagat Hotel. Sector-36 police station in-charge Ranjodh Singh and other policemen arrived on the spot.

After this, the bodies of both of them were removed from the trap and taken to the hospital. Police investigation revealed that the two had booked a room on the second floor of the hotel around Friday morning. The next morning the hotel worker knocked on the door of the room several times to give both of them tea and breakfast, but no one opened the door from inside. After this, when the door was seen the opening, the bodies of both were hanging from the fan. After this, the police was informed. No suicide note has been recovered by the police from the spot.
