Love on Facebook! Couple fall-in love online and got marriage, three months later committed suicide

Ara: Nowadays people meet each other on social sites and then get married after they fall in love with friend but sometimes the marriage reaches till the talk of death. Now, a similar case has come recently from the police quarters at old police line in town police station area of the city. The SI driver committed suicide by hanging himself in a flat here. Town police station in-charge Shambhu Kumar Bhagat rushed to the spot after receiving information about the case and then conducted postmortem of the body at Sadar Hospital first.

The deceased was reportedly identified as Ravi Raj alias Bittu, the 25-year-old son of Gopal Prasad Gupta, a resident of Rafiganj village in Rafiganj police station area of Aurangabad district. According to reports he used to drive si's private vehicle and his wife Pushpa Kumari said that the two got in touch with Facebook and fell in love after the conversation. Pushpa says the two first met in Patna on January 28 and fell in love after that. On Valentine's Day, February 14, after falling in love, the two met for the second time, followed by a series of meetings. About a month later, the two got married on March 14, 2021, at a temple in Fatuha. The two then started living in a rented house in Patna City itself.

Meanwhile, last Wednesday morning, the two had a fight over something, after which Ravi Raj Ara came out in anger. He has since been hanged to death last Saturday. Police said, it is not yet clear why the youth committed suicide but police are investigating the case.
