The release of Veerappan's life-long web series 'Veerappan: Hunger for Killing' has been embroiled in controversies. In fact, wife V Muthulakshmi has alleged that the series will greatly affect his personal life. He believes that the makers have wrongly presented the story in the series. After which the Bengaluru session and the civil court on the demand of V Muthulakshmi have ordered a temporary ban on the series.

Muthulakshmi also says that the release of this movie will have a great impact on his personal life and violate his privacy. He said that even before that, many filmmakers have made money by making films on Veerappan's life, but this has caused a lot of embarrassment to the family. The advocate of V Muthulakshmi says that the release of the movie is against Article 21.

The allegations of Muthulakshmi are also being linked to the assembly election in Tamil Delhi. In fact, it is said that Muthulakshmi's daughter Vidya Rani is the vice president of the BJP Yuva Morcha in the state. It is estimated that they may get tickets in the elections to be held. However, Muthulakshmi has denied all these claims. It may be recalled that in his affidavit given to the court, v. Muthulakshmi has said that AMR Ramesh's AMI pictures are going to release the movie based on Veerappan's life. He said that producers have made the movie on the basis of false facts and fabricated stories and the image of Veerappan has been described as a villain.
