Bhau was arrested for allegedly "inciting students to oppose offline exams." Many of them gathered in Mumbai and Nagpur to protest and demand the cancellation of offline exams for classes 10 and 12 amid the pandemic. Hindustani Bhau shared videos on social media supporting the demands of the students. He urged the students to protest outside the house of Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad and join him there.
