New Delhi: The District and Sessions Court of Gwalior has sentenced the accused Vinod Adivasi to life imprisonment for misconduct and murder of a minor boy. Also, a fine of Rs 12000 has also been imposed in different sections. It is worth mentioning that on 4 July 2017, the dead body of a minor boy was found behind the building under construction in the Taal area across the river Murar.
Local people had given information about the dead body by phone. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and registered a case and started the investigation. During interrogation, it was revealed that the deceased was last seen with Vinod Adivasi. After this, when the police interrogated the suspect in custody after walking towards Vinod, Vinod continued to mislead the police.
But on showing strictness, he told that he had taken the minor along the river by luring money and misbehaved with him. When the minor talked about telling the family about the incident, Vinod killed him by immersing him in a water pit. Due to this, the court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment based on the witnesses and evidence presented by the prosecution.
