Washington: The US has entered into a deal with Pfizer, the leading pharmaceutical company making the Corona vaccine, in December to supply 100 million doses of it for about $ 2 billion. Health and Human Services Minister Alex Azar announced this on Wednesday. He has told that under this deal, America can purchase an additional 50 crore doses from the company.
The US has entered into agreements with several companies: Pfizer Inc. and Bioentec SE have also announced that it has settled with the Ministry of Health and Defense for the vaccine they are making jointly. The US has also made similar agreements with other companies. The Trump administration is campaigning to develop the Corona vaccine as soon as possible. Under which many companies are working on developing the vaccine. The target of Trump administration is to achieve at least 30 crore vaccines by January next year.
UK signs agreement with BioNotech, Pfizer, and Valneva for 9 crore doses: Earlier, the UK has also signed an agreement with 3 companies to purchase 9 million doses of a potential vaccine for corona infection. UK Commerce Minister Alok Sharma said that the government has signed an agreement to buy 9 crore doses of the vaccine undergoing trials for the treatment of corona infection by companies named BioNotech, Pfizer, and Valneva.
