District Collector and District Election Officer Bharti Holikeri said voters suffering from fever will be allowed to vote only after 5 pm in view of the Covid-19 situation. Some of the Covid-19 positive patients have chosen a postal ballot vote, and Covid-19 positive patients who do not choose postal ballot can visit polling stations after 5 pm to vote, she said. The district election officer said that they would take all precautions while voting at the polling booth.

The collector told the EVM distribution centre at Lot Chapet near Dubbak town that they provided thermal screening equipment at all polling booths to help the personnel check the temperature of the voters. While election staff, agents and voters must follow the election guidelines and the Covid-19 guidelines, the district election officer said that gloves that use each voter's glove are also spread ing to avoid and limit the relationship of the EVM machine.

When they go to the polling booths, everyone must wear a mask and the collector said they had cleaned the polling stations and furniture. She said the AANES appointed to monitor the Covid-19 guidelines at polling stations had identified queues for voters to maintain physical distances. The district election officer said they would do live webcasting to record all activities in polling stations. Police Commissioner De Joel Davis has deployed all the necessary staff throughout the constituency and she said that polling should be smooth.
