Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has asked the collectors to bring down the positivity rate to 5 percent by May 31 before the unlocking process begins on June 1. The corona positivity rate is still more than 5 percent in a few districts in the state. It is more than 5 percent in Bhopal, Indore, Sagar, Ratlam and Anuppur.

As per central government’s guidelines, the districts where the positivity rate is more than 5 percent should be placed under corona curfew. Containment areas should be set up in such districts and corona protocols should be strictly followed to check the virus.

Meanwhile, CM  expressed satisfaction over Covid situation in Dhar but cautioned the district administration not to become complacent and aim to bring down positivity rate to zero. Shri Chouhan was reviewing the corona situation in Dhar, Neemuch, Khargone and Barwani districts of Indore Division through video conferencing on Thursday evening. He ordered that meeting of Crises Management Group should be held by May 30. It should be kept in mind that the meeting of the Crisis Management should be held in the rural areas continuously, he added. Positivity rate should be brought down to zero in the districts.

 The survey work in the rural areas should continue. District administration has made good progress and has brought down the positivity rate to less than 5 percent, he said.
